Front suspension__The complete (front and rear) suspension system was designed and built by Kat Kustoms, LLC in New Knoxville, OH. The truck has 25" of lift with a triangulated 4 link design. A tubular subframe was fabricated and bolted to the factory frame to allow for mounting the 4 link control arms. It features King Racing 2.5" x 16" travel coil over shocks, 1 1/4" sway bars, and Beard limit straps. The control arms use large urethane bushings at the subframe and 1 1/4" chromoly rod ends with high misalignment spacers at the axles. The suspension is built to be functional. The truck will score roughly 600 on a 30 degree RTI ramp and still drives very well. The steering consists of a remote mounted power steering gearbox plumbed with a hydraulic assist cylinder from PSC Motorsports. ________________________________________________________________________

Other cool stuff__The truck started life as a 2WD. It was selected because of the need to install the divorce mounted transfer case and all of the OEM 4WD components would have been tossed. All of the IFS brackets were removed and custom crossmembers install. A engine cage was also installed. The Intermediate and rear driveshafts are from Columbus Joint and Clutch, Columbus, OH. They are 1410 Spicer. The front 1350 CV shaft is from Tom Wood's Custom Driveshafts.
The truck was torn down to the bare frame and the frame filled, smoothed, and painted charcoal gray. The body was originally Gray and while apart was painted blue pearl by Mike Coil at Excessive Customs, Spencerville, OH. Chrome plating was done by Quality Custom Polishing in Dayton, OH.
